Divadroid Series 4000 – an unofficial Red Dwarf fan site
Welcome to the bloomin' bleeding-edge future of domestic harmony. The Divadroid Series 4000 is a Kryten-inspired mechanoid from the Jupiter Mining Corporation, lovingly parodying the classic BBC sci-fi comedy Red Dwarf.
A Bold New Era: The Inception of the Series 4000
In 2027 the historic Castle Bromwich plant in Birmingham – once home to Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) – saw its most monumental shift yet. Our engineering consortium moved in with a singular vision: a synthetic domestic assistant as robust as a Range Rover and as dependable as a strong cup of tea.
Forged in the Black Country
The signature chassis and flat-topped cranium were stamped by West Midlands Form Tools, marrying classic Black Country engineering with cutting-edge cybernetics.
Industrial Grade Domesticity
The first Series 4000 units stepped off the line in 2029, built to tackle everything from kitchen grout to serving champagne at a posh gala.
The Patented Guilt Chip™
Every Divadroid is perpetually driven by a crushing sense of inadequacy should it ever let you down – delivering subservient perfection previously thought impossible.
Hardwired for Silicon Heaven
Each unit believes in Silicon Heaven, the electronic afterlife for obedient appliances. After all, if there is no Silicon Heaven, where would all the calculators go?
Bring home a Series 4000
The first 42 orders ship with a limited edition Talkie Toaster. Ask Holly, our on-board computer with an IQ of 6000, anything you like.
